Martha Stewart banned from Canada!

It seems that Martha Stewart, America's favorite domestic diva/ice queen/author/daytime television host/reality tv star/OCD-CEO/felon, may have some border issues. She (and her production team) planned to spend this weekend (Canadian Thanksgiving) attending a pumpkin festival and parade in the Canadian province of Nova Scotia.

But, alas, Canadian immigration law prohibits ex-cons from crossing the border. Poor Martha, and she thought the ankle bracelet was bad?? She's now a prisoner in her own country!

Most amusing part of all of this? The war it started in the Canadian Parliament:
"I have no fear of her burying us with her prison poncho throwing a homemade pie," said Stockwell Day, foreign affairs chief for the opposition Conservative Party.

Perhaps not, but plenty of us would pay to see her try.

via Canada tells Martha: Take off, eh! [NYDN]
